I like growing is one of my favorite peppers to grow, one of the reason is we use this pepper to make Puerto Rican Sofrito. I know many people make the sofrito different but the main ingredient is the Aji Dulce seasoning pepper great for making sofrito and others tasty Caribbean dishes I grow about 8 plants this give me plenty of pepper to give away and make my sofrito I will post a video how to make sofrito is very easy and delicious on many dishes. In the winter I cut the leaves and shorten the plant. Usually my plants survive 4 or 5 years then I grow more and continue the tradition. In the winter I place a large zip with a cup of water as you can see in the picture the humidity is about 99%, without the zip is 11%. This always work for me in the winter, by May I already have peppers in the basket.
