In the winter I cut the leaves and shorten the plant. Usually my plants survive 4 or 5 years then I grow more and continue the tradition. In the winter I place a large zip with a cup of water as you can see in the picture the humidity is about 99%, without the zip is 11%. This always work for me in the winter, by May I already have peppers in the basket.
